Sima Jo is an American figure painter based in Thousand Oaks, California. After earning her Bachelor of Arts from the Laguna College of Art and Design in 2019, she has focused on creating and exhibiting impressionistic oil paintings. Her work, rooted in subconscious exploration, is crafted with little to no photo reference, allowing her to delve deeply into themes of self-discovery and unintentional expression.

Sima Jo's paintings can be found in private collections across the country. Much of her current work explores the fluidity of energy within our environments and interpersonal connections. By painting emotional states in physical form, she visually expresses the ways we fluctuate and adapt, morphing seamlessly into our surroundings. Her creative inspiration stems from a desire for self-expression and the insights gained from observing and listening to others.
