Born in Cabo Frio in 1996, Larissa Laban is a Brazilian visual artist and designer based in São Paulo. Working across airbrush, oil painting, and ceramics, she creates textured, energetically rendered figures set within pared-back, suspended environments. Her work explores liminal worlds shaped by kitsch objects and uncanny forms, where figures adapt to solitude within closed systems. Through a palette of deep, resonant tones and a balance of softness and density, Laban’s practice navigates the tension between presence and absence, inviting viewers to engage with the quiet mystery and latent narratives embedded in each work.
