Marko Ristić (b. 1993, Daytona Beach, Florida) is a New York–based painter whose work exists between figuration and abstraction. Raised on Long Island in a Serbian immigrant household, his practice is shaped by dual cultural identity, drawing on Slavic tradition, Orthodox iconography, and lived emotional experience.
Working primarily in oil on large-scale canvases, Ristić prioritizes gesture and emotional resonance over representation. His paintings explore tension—between chaos and control, love and destruction, presence and disintegration—approaching painting as an introspective, process-driven act. Alongside painting, he works with analog photography, continuing his investigation into form and emotional memory.
