Charlie Haydn Taylor (b. 1996, Jersey, Channel Islands) works in painting and digital collage, constructing interior scenes defined by intense artificial light, isolated furniture, and the ambient pressure of the city beyond the window. His graphic style — flat block color set against photographic realism — stages a tension native to contemporary urban life: the crowded room that still feels empty.
Raised on a small island and based in London since 2014, Haydn Taylor draws on the experience of that displacement as source material. His interiors are not simply rooms but psychological conditions, consumer objects folded into the composition as evidence of a culture that promises connection and delivers the opposite.
Haydn Taylor holds a BA in Design from Goldsmiths, University of London. His work has been exhibited in London, Beijing, Seoul, Singapore, and Dubai, and is held in private collections internationally.
