Piper Olivas American, b. 1997

Piper Huntington Olivas (b. 1997, New Mexico) is a Los Angeles-based artist working across photography, film, found objects, and mixed media. A 2021 graduate of California College of the Arts, she treats the subject as something never quite settled - shaped by space, structure, and historical and religious reference. Her work resists fixed narrative, building layered visual situations from fragment, symbol, and suggestion, where photography becomes a site of instability rather than documentation - an image continually disrupted and reassembled, opening onto new intimacy, reverence, and distortion.
