Roughly one week before Luke Haeger's Freshman Solo Exhibition, we had the chance to sit down with him and discuss Revolutionary Debris, his inspirations, and his mission.

In the heart of West Hollywood, on May 7, 2022, a palpable surge of energy enveloped Melrose Avenue. The catalyst for this fervor? The highly anticipated Solo Exhibition showcasing the prodigious talent of painter Marko Ristic. This gathering transcended the boundaries of a mere art show, drawing together an eclectic assembly that included illustrious Hollywood luminaries such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Toby Maguire, and Jacob Elordi. Accompanying this star-studded roster were a diverse array of curators, collectors, and the artist himself, converging with his fellow gallerist peers. At the heart of the evening's spectacle lay a collection of Marko's expansive figurative paintings, each brushstroke narrating a vivid tale through its dynamic interplay of hues and arresting visuals.

 

 

Attendees found themselves entranced by the allure of Marko's paintings, weaving through the exhibition space's main floor to the serene garden within the gallery. Amidst this intimate setting, Marko, a painter hailing from the vibrant tapestry of New York City, candidly bared his innermost thoughts and sentiments about his artistic creations.
