Los Angeles, CA — ALLGORITHIM is pleased to present Beautiful Youth, a group exhibition featuring three Los Angeles-based photographers: Sydney Jackson, Taylah Mortensen, and Rae Lieberman. On view October 10 through December 4, 2021, the exhibition brings together each artist's distinct approach to a shared set of themes — youth, beauty, and change — through intimate, character-driven photographic work.
Jackson's contributions, including Angels In My Palm, Angels To Lean On, and Curtain Call (2021), capture her subjects in moments of unguarded tenderness. Mortensen's Sophie & Sophia (2021) turns toward companionship and resemblance as its own form of portraiture. Together with Lieberman's work, the exhibition builds a collective study of how beauty and youth are pictured at the moment they begin to shift.
Beautiful Youth continues ALLGORITHIM's ongoing commitment to championing distinctive photographic voices working in and around Los Angeles.
