Katarina Holbrough Canadian, b. 1997

Katarina Holbrough (b. 1997, Canada) is a mixed-media artist working with oil, oil pastel, and glass beads, exploring nocturnal environments where hidden narratives of class, femininity, and religion surface through gesture and suggestive form. Her figures hover between becoming and dissolving, set against shadowed, ambiguous spaces that ask viewers to slow down and linger in the unseen. She holds a BFA in Criticism and Curatorial Practice and has shown recently with Janey Gallery at Art Toronto, ALLGORITHIM (Los Angeles), and STACKT Market (Toronto).
