Layered
ALLGORITHIM House 1 May - 12 Jun 2026Layered brings together seventeen artists whose practices share a common formal and philosophical proposition: that meaning accumulates. Across painting and mixed media, the exhibition takes as its premise the act of layering itself — not as technique alone, but as a way of thinking. Of identity formed through sediment. Of color and mark arriving on a surface already weighted with intention. Works by Thomas Stokes III, Vincent Lantzy, Connor Meager, Zoë Renait, Jess Kellner, Samuel Elliot Phillips, Piper Olivas, Katarina Holbrough, Dylan Anthony Roworth, Sarah Savior, Gaëthan Henrioux, Adam Brierley, Ricardo Rodriguez, Austin Santangelo, Deb Santangelo, Brad Johns, Fiona Aagaard, and Preston Douglas Boyer.Read more -
Quel Rêve
Zoë Renait 1 - 8 Apr 2026Spanning new and recent canvases, Quel Rêve offers a sustained look at a practice in confident, deliberate motion — scenes of leisure, intimacy, and quiet ceremony rendered in oil with an atmosphere that feels simultaneously immediate and remote, where figures move through softly charged environments and a gesture or glance carries the weight of something half-remembered. Renait, who studied psychology and presented research on mindfulness at Harvard, approaches painting as a practice rooted in perception and inner experience, her canvases less concerned with narrative than with atmosphere — objects becoming symbolic, spaces psychological, the boundary between the luxurious and the sacred consistently and deliberately blurred. Raised in the Midwest and now working from Long Beach, Renait has developed a visual language shaped by observation, escapism, and a deep attentiveness to the liminal; Quel Rêve is her first exhibition with ALLGORITHIM and Galerie.Read more -
